110 Percenters: Interview with Sam Docherty

Bonus episode!

You won’t find more inspiring footy stories than Sam Docherty’s. He came back from three ACL tears and two bouts of cancer to forge an outstanding AFL career and captain his boyhood Blues. His goal in his comeback game in Round 1, 2022, raised hairs on the back of the neck. Today, he’s a rising star in footy media.

Docherty has captured the many highlights (and lowlights) of his career in a new book, What it Takes, written in conjunction with the excellent Konrad Marshall.

Cody, Jonathan and I were lucky enough to speak at length with Sam about his career, getting drafted, coding his own games, how the game has changed, and what’s next.

Apologies for the mild audio issues on this one. We did our best.
