Another bumper episode! This week, Cody, Jonathan and I held up each flag contender to the light and examined their flaws and credentials in great detail. Listen to us definitively rule teams in or out of contention. Then we discussed an unusual subject for the pod: soccer! We talked about the World Cup, our own relationships to the round ball game, and why the A-League seems to struggle to convert the very real enthusiasm we have for the Socceroos into bums on seats. Then we fired From The Hip, tackling subjects like the soft cap, Brayden Maynard’s umpire bump, and the importance of a team’s bottom five players.
We also spoke much more about art than we had on any previous episode! It was all a little rambling – blame the tech issues which meant we couldn’t record until Tuesday night – but we had fun.
